Love it.
This rose is unfolding from a deep red core to lighter outer petals. Nesting within a bouquet of other colors it starts to pick up the hues of its surrounding blooms as it bursts forth to kiss the viewer, or pull you into its folds.
For the past few years I've been painting flowers up so close that they envelope the viewer in their sensuality and rich color. Enlarged, they become almost abstractions from nature without seeing the outer shape or the environment around them.
This original watercolor is painted on 140# Arches Cold Press paper. It is framed with a Florentine gold, brushed metal 1" frame and a 3" white matt with archival backing and conservation glass. A Certificate of Authenticity comes with the watercolor signed by Sandy Haight. It is ready to hang for your pleasure adding warmth to any room.
