The street art of Belfast, Ireland, has endured the years and reflects the strife, civil rights and unrest of the community, at that time, as well as a reflection of life, hope, inspiration and conflict of many years. There are hundreds of painted walls and the few represented here give you a glimpse of the era. Lives were lost, families divided and a city and country was at unrest.
Many of the murals are painted by ex-prisoners, others by patriots of either side.
